Great food and our server was so kind and considerate. They have a great variety of menu items without it feeling overwhelming. My husband and I both got pasta dishes (carbonara and alfredo) and the portions were huge and it was super tasty! We got takeout containers for our leftovers and said we'll have the rest in our hotel room, which our server overheard and he offered us extra cutlery and napkins since for convenience. We'll probably go back tonight for their drink specials and maybe a smores tray!

Could have one dedicated plant based item.

Service was good, but they seemed stretched even though it wasn’t crazy busy. Our server Leeann was still attentive and friendly. The ambiance is nice although it’s a smallish place. The reason for the low rating is the food. It’s terrible. Nothing has any flavor. We got walleye bites (literally just some cut up walleye) apparently seasoned with lemon pepper and a honey sauce but you would never know it. I got red pepper pasta for my entree and someone else got pasta primavera but we both had to add salt and pepper for any flavor. The veggies in the primavera did not appear fresh. I also asked for salmon in my red pepper pasta but got shrimp. Leeann caught it as soon as it came out and was willing to fix but I didn’t want to wait for a redo. The only redeeming food element was the fries that came with another person’s burger. For the price of the dishes here I definitely expected better quality and had high hopes for a nicer restaurant in Brookings, but unfortunately this seems to be lipstick on a pig. You can get better food at some of the bars.

First time visit, the experience was good. It really enjoyed the food. Parking: We find a parking spot downtown so we changed where we were going to eat and came here. Parking was great.

Hard to be called an Alehouse with a limited selection of mostly light beers. Service was good, ambiance was good. But definitely not an Alehouse of any kind.

Awful! Sat there for 20+ minutes without the servers even coming to greet us or take our orders. And it was not busy, the servers just decided to bus takes and stock the bar instead of waiting on tables. It was like they wanted to give bad service so they wouldn't have customers so they wouldn't have to work. Can't rate the food, because we left before we got any, because we didn't even want to know how long it would take to get that!

Food was just ok and service not the best. I wouldn't go back.

ordered a ribeye, what came out was much closer to a sirloin (at ribeye prices) if you are a true steak enjoyer this might not be the place for you
