One of the best Mexican restaurants in the city

Great spot. I was in town on business. Did not expect great Mexican food on this trip.

Tucked away in a little area within a tiny strip mall, this tastefully designed establishment has been fantastic for many years. It features outside seating for when the weather is great, but I wouldn't say that dining al fresco right off of Touhy Avenue, which is frequently crowded. Both the food and service are excellent. Parking is scarce but doable.

My most favorite place to eat in the Chicagoland area is at the bar under the care of Bartender Jose. Shaheit fa real! You become special with his service. It’s magic.

Phenomenal food quality ingredients and always served hot and fresh. The torta de asada is the BEST I’ve had in Chicago. Staff is always attentive and there’s a cute little bar area.

Best thing was the grilled jicamas and soup. Fish tacos are decent. Nachos were underwhelming. Everything was just fine i guess. Food takes forever to prepare. Coming from a trip in Miami and trying the Mexican food there..It's totally different & so much flavor and spices. I find most Mexican places in Chicago are afraid to use spices because of fear of scaring away the white customers. But, Decent food for a Chicago Mexican restaurant. ‍♂️
