Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar

We eat occasionally at the Houston, Tx, Baybrook location, so I felt comfortable recommending the one near where friends and I were shopping in San Antonio, Tx. The food and service were predictably good. We ordered 1 piece of Whiskey Cake to share among 7 of us—it’s a generous serving and so rich that just a bite or two is satisfying. One of my friends liked it so much she ordered a piece to take home. Kid-friendliness: Because of the informal atmosphere I feel comfortable taking my young grandchildren to eat at our local Whiskey Cake.

Cici took great care of us and was so much fun to talk to! Her energy and enthusiasm made our experience even better. The food was tasty and the whiskey cake is life changing!

I was there as part of a conference. While it got very packed and overrun by more and more attendees. The staff did an amazing job keeping up with orders and the quality of food.

Let me start off by saying that this place is wonderful, the atmosphere location and food taste amazing. Not to mention I have to recommend trying their whiskey flights. The reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 is because we knew going in that this was very seasonal farm to table and items may vary, what we didn't know was what changed with our items because our waiter didn't communicate any of it. The salmon was a very very small portion, and the sides were nothing that were stated on the menu, when asked he informed us "that's just how it is sometimes". Food still tasted amazing, but communication from staff to guests, at least in our experience, could be improved. Will return soon.
