Wayward Distillery

If you plan to spend a few days in Comox or Courtenay, be sure to visit this wonderful distillery. We were there today and were very well served by Krista. she loves what she does. She did a great job, also presenting us with different types of drinks and explaining each one in detail. congratulations Krista, people like you make a difference in this world !!!!

We wanted to check this place out since we heard really good things and oh boy! It was even better than we expected. Super small outfit but so unique and so well thought out on every business aspect. Very casual small tasting and so much knowledge shared by the staff. It was a highlight on our roadtrip. All spirits are absolutely delicious and easily among our favorites ever for each category. And we don’t even drink vodka normally… this is a must go for any lover of spirits.

Got to try some free samples of some amazing gin and other liqueurs, so much so that I had to make some purchases. The staff were extremely friendly and we even got to see some honey bees up close. I came here just to charge my car for a bit but my experience with this place was above and beyond in every way.

A warm welcome and wonderful experience. I only wish I had more space in my luggage for one each of these most delicious drinks.

We always shop Wayward at the Vancouver Christmas Market, so when we realized they were in Courtenay we were so excited to visit them in their own home! The staff were very welcoming and we got to do a complementary tasting. Of course we couldn't leave empty handed, and their. Raspberry gin with fresh raspberries was too good to pass up!

Really friendly woman gave us the rundown on the distillery and explained the various alcohols they make. Tasted almost everything and thought they were all excellent. The Krupnik was fantastic.
