Waypoint

I went to this quaint place for oysters during happy hour with a close buddy. We ordered a dozen oysters right away and had a great time. Our initial worry that the flavor would be compromised by an absurdly low price were unwarranted. The delicious, tasty oysters were a hit with both of us, and we had a great meal here. I'm excited to come back for their delicious pizza.

Their fish and chips is the best I've had.

The lobster cacio e pepe is phenomenal. The various flatbreads are all worth sampling as well. We used to come here nearly every other week and could almost always get a seat at the bar, even on the weekends. The bar staff are super attentive and fun to talk with. The wait staff for the tables is often spread too thin. Great vibe, particularly on a blustery winter evening.

For an oyster joint I was disappointed in the quality. The oysters had much shell debris in them, there was no brine in any of the 5 varieties we tried, and the meat itself was quite mangled. Why pay an obscene ~42 dollars for a poorly shucked dozen? The other food we had was great, and the staff was nice.

Chill vibe and great food. Our waitress was warm and helpful.

this is the kind of place they write about. waypoint is… the discovery of tea-stained love letters hidden in a teak dresser drawer. the touch of wax-sodden fingertips reaching for another candle to light the way between you. the sound of ice-cubed whiskey on a summer’s eve. the delight of dawn. the delirium of dusk. five stars.

glory at every turn! the waitstaff was trained by a leopard who was trained by a time traveling Shepard who was trained by Jesus. My partner and I were beheld by a small man with a mustache and led to a taller man with a mustache. The small and tall comments may be directly proportional to the content of our conversation but alas; incredible service and games (what is a proper dinner without a roll-o-the-dice).

Visited this charming spot with my dear friend for happy hour oysters. We promptly ordered four dozen oysters and relished the experience. Despite initial concerns about a way too cheap price affecting the flavor, our worries were unfounded. We were both pleased with the delectable, flavorful oysters and had an enjoyable time at this restaurant. I look forward to returning for their tempting pizza.

Our waitress, Lauren, was amazing. She was so attentive and extremely friendly, responsive, and kind. She had no issue when we sent food back to have it cooked the way we preferred and she made sure it was done correctly. She also facilitated a wonderful birthday dessert for my dad and had great knowledge of the menu. This place is one of my favorites and will continue to be, we recommend it to everyone.
