Lovely ramen, fast and friendly service, nice ambiance
This is the only place in SF that has Gluten Free Ramen. The food was swell, and the service and ambiance were great! We dropped by before a movie at the Kabuki, and it was kinda dead. By the time we left, it was packed. We'll definitely be going back! Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to gluten free dining. We were thrilled!
My new favorite ramen spot! The black garlic ramen was rich and flavorful. Can’t wait to try the other broths! Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free noodles.
Being a lover or ramen and trying new foods, after looking up places online and their reviews, Wakaru was definitely a must try. The wait was not long at all for a table as I didn’t called ahead to make reservations. Order the kimchi cheese fries to start along w/ a Sukiyaki beef bowl the the Ramen. I believe it was the tonkotsu ramen dx but can’t recall. All the food tasted delicious, fries were crispy. Next time I’m in town I’ll be coming back to try more food here. Can’t forget the bottle of Yuzu, sucks they don’t sell it back at my home town. Such a refreshing soda
Waraku gave me some of the best ramen I’ve had in SF, and I feel like I’ve had over a dozen ramen places here. I got the black garlic tonkotsu deluxe ramen and it didn’t miss. One really kind lady ran service for the entire restaurant and she was super kind to everyone. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Some groups, some couples, and some solos, just chill. Would totally come here again and I’d recommend this restaurant over any other ramen restaurant right now.
We ordered the Tan Tan Men, the tsukemen and the Kara-age. I thought the karaage was quite good: flavorful and seasoned in a light coating of breading. The Tsukemen, pictured, looked promising but unfortunately failed to deliver. The noodles themselves were sweet (like sugary sweet) which is unconventional in a way that did not help. The dip was almost a full bowl of broth which for Tsukemen was too watery. It was as if someone ordered a ramen and they just separated the noodle from the soup. Tsukemen soup dip should be thicker to coat the noodles.
I absolutely love their ramen. The sauce is creamy and flavorful. I try to go every weekend.
Surprisingly great ramen! Chewy noodles and flavorful broth. Almost feels like I’m back in Japan. They’re very understaffed though.. so they probably won’t check in at all after you place an order. Service 3/5
Bright and cozy restaurant with good menu items. I ordered the black garlic oil tonkatsu ramen and liked the freshness and the great taste.
