I’ve had better fried chicken at Jack’s (which is actually good compared to here) my dad’s chicken was as solid as wood, and honestly the hash brown casserole was the only thing worth my time.

We went for dinner on our first time visit to the restaurant. We enjoyed all of the food and have very good service from our waiter, Thomas. We had the chicken fried chicken and fried catfish. Both were perfectly cooked and flavored. The sides we had included sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cabbage, fried okra, and Mac & cheese. All of them were also good. For dessert we had chocolate and lemon pie. We would go back again as we enjoyed this clean restaurant delivering good home cooking.

First timers there yesterday and were surprised how nothing tasted good except the carrot cake. The fried green tomatoes were thin as potato chips and looked burnt. Mashed potatoes with "mushroom brown gravy" were strangely odd consistency and flavor. Chicken fried chicken was odd too. Coleslaw tasted off, pinto beans tasted almost like menthol, etc. Nothing was awful, except fried green tomatoes, but every other item our party of 4 had tasted odd, and not in a good way. Almost like an herb or spice was added to each dish, but it didn't work.Excellent service from Jennifer, and comfy, pleasant restaurant. Wish the food was better.
