Wallflower

We celebrated our first year anniversary at Wallflower last night. We tried 5 different cocktails and shared 4 dishes. By far, the stand-out and most delicious item was the duck lumpia with chili sauce. We felt that the portions were small, but we were full after consuming the 4 dishes. The service was attentive, and we never had to deal with empty plates or glasses left on the table. Street parking was ample. We definitely plan to return to try more food and drinks.

I have written 2 reviews in my entire life, but I feel so strongly about this restaurant that I must recommend it to everyone I know. I have tried practically every item on the menu and everything has been delicious. I will even order foods at Wallflower that I typically don’t enjoy such as beef or pork because every dish they create tastes amazing. A few personal recommendations - 1. crispy sichuan beef - comes with the most delicious soy chili sauce, a little bit spicy if you are sensitive 2. Rendang memak - such a unique, flavor infused dish 3. char kway teow - must order if you like wide rice noodles 4. Som dtam salad - really nice to start with this, crispy, crunchy and light 5. Japanese curry - yellow curry with carrots and potatoes 6. Crab dip - if you enjoy crab such a great choice 7. Chicken sate - chicken skewers that comes with delicious peanut sauce The restaurant also has a great ambience, I love the rustic aesthetic and decor. I truly love everything about Wallflower and don’t want it to become too popular where I am unable to get reservations, but I also want to promote it and see it gain the success it deserves. If you enjoy Asian cuisine, this restaurant is a must.

Had a corporate dinner here for about 15 people and it was spectacular. We had a prefix menu served family style and every dish was better than the next. The fish and beef were spectacular as was the dessert. Also, the service was top notch. Special shout out to Jamie our server, she handled our group amazingly, kept the drinks flowing (which were also great, thanks amazing bartenders) and ensured our whole experience was exceptional.

Used to be good but went downhill, think servers are overworked

This Venice Indonesian eatery is just what Venice needed. It is wonderful. The staff is very nice and they get your order right the first time, even if you complicate it. Make a reservation. If not, there will be a wait. The hostess is kind and will get you in a comfortable where you will be happy. The while place is beautiful. We just love the interior. It is all kept super clean. The food is great. We decided to try several things there, as we have been doing for a while now. That way we can really decide if you want to come back. We will be back. We had jasmine rice, and a steamed rice with pandan, coconut milk and chicken broth. It was the best. We also loved the fried whole fish for two, cooked with miso sauce, a wonderful ginger salad and the outstanding branzino. Wanting more, there were a few of all, all sharing, we tried the crispy duck roll and finally the chicken sate. It was all amazing. They brought is out as it was ready, as we asked them to. we just kept ordering. You will love love this place.

We planned to drop into Wallflower for one quick drink but the combo of ambiance, deliciously crafted cocktails and our kind and helpful bartender made us stay much longer. These bartenders are true experts and Jimmy especially gave my friends and I the perfect suggestions for what to drink that matched our interests and gave me some cool ideas for things to do at home with some liquors I recently purchased. We finished the night with a specialty shot and plans to come back again soon.
