Waikikie Hawaiian BBQ

Staff couldn’t be friendlier! Portions are perfect! Prices are beyond fair. Macaroni salad is incredible and everything i’ve had is amazing

I really enjoy this place. It is affordable food with a friendly staff. I got the Waikikie Combo which is bbq chicken and bbq beef with two scoops of rice and mac salad. This is a stand alone venue with limited parking in the front and more parking out back. The chicken was definitely thighs and half cabbage. The beef is probably flank steak. The price makes it worth it. The flavor makes it a steal. The rice is nothing to write home about. Mac salad was a nice addition. The protein has good flavor that comes from the sauce. Teriyaki is extremely sweet. Nice meal!

Great people! Always have a good time visiting and it's the only place in Atlanta where I can get my Loco Moco fix!

First thing’s first: if you’re Hawaiian, or other Pacific Islander looking for local food like back home, this is not the place for that. The quality of my meal was poor. I ordered Loco Moco and on my end I should’ve specified how I wanted my eggs cooked, but it came out sunny side up and I wanted well done. So upon taking the dish back, the cashier assured me she would correct the order. I also asked instead of mac salad, to substitute for another scoop of rice, being that I do not like mac salad. When my food came back out, I did not receive a new plate, the very least I could’ve gotten. Instead someone back in the kitchen simply removed the mac salad and I know this because I seen the trail of sauce beside and under the extra scoop of rice. Then, the eggs on top of the beef patties were simply thrown back onto the pan to cook well done- instead of frying some new eggs. My sister ordered teriyaki tofu and vegetables and when her plate came to the table, the tofu and vegetables were dry and obviously were not fresh. Her food was dry and lacked flavor. Overall disaster and clearly named for aesthetic, appropriation purposes. We will not be returning. *edited to add first sentence as fair warning. Original review is from 2018*

The service was great the food was good

Been coming here since 2016 for the tasty Hawaiin BBQ and excellent service. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
