Great food, great service, great atmosphere. My only constructive feedback would be to have higher chairs or lower tables on the patio. Vegetarian options: Yummy edamame with chili salt

We had a 8:30 reservation and we may as well have just walked in. I get the sense no one usually bothers with reservations. The table was not ready for us so we chose to sit outdoors (beware, the seats are very low outside. They are comfortable though). There is no music outdoors and the charm/atmosphere comes entirely from the restaurant's surroundings rather than anything they have done. It took a bit more time for our food to arrive than we would have expected based on how few people were there. They also do not seem to have a system set up to rub food to the correct table, every server through the door tried to give us another table's food. The food was generally poor, not up to the hype. The kimchi was basic, bland, and tasted like it came out the freezer, the shrimp did come out of a freezer. The Tokyo fries are a pile of matchstick cut sweet potato mixed with red onion and topped with beef. Not as expected and totally saved by the beef. The beef bao buns were also decent, as was the edamame (who can ruin edamame?). The immunity booster shot was done well, a tiny shot glass of citrus/carrot goodness. The tea came out far after the appetizers, lukewarm and not yet steeped, making for a cold cup. The entrees did not redeem the meal. I ordered the spicy beef donburi. Again, the beef was decent. It was topped with scallions and an absolute mass of shredded carrots. The rixe itself was hazardous, ranging from too soft, to just right, to tooth shattering staleness. My friend's food came well after mine did and not quite hot. She ordered the shrimp Ramen. She stated the broth was tasteless lacking even salt (and none was available tableside), the vegetables were slightly overdone, but the shrimp were decent despite being the frozen type. We did not order desert. I can't recommend the food, the tea, nor the ambiance. If you're looking for a good place for ramen in the Tampa area, Wagamama isn't it.

Had a wonderful experience bringing my two-year old daughter here for dinner. Great service, delicious food (that both of us enjoyed), and a really lovely ambience eating outdoors. Highly recommended. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly staff. They have a dedicated kids menu with good options. They also have pencil crayons and placemats for kids to color.
