There's some things about a waffle House in a black neighborhood. The music always rocks, and the food is always good. Our server was Pleasant with the biggest smile. The other servers were cleaning, and dancing while they cleaned. It was quite an experience. I enjoy this waffle House probably more than I have enjoyed any other waffle House in Georgia!
Food was standard waffle house fare. Waffles could have been better. Service was very strange during our visit. One server brought us drinks and told us another would be over to take our orders shortly. Eventually the first server came back and also took our food order. While waiting, we watched a male worker pour a messy amount of batter into the two waffle irons, that spilled over the sides, then proceed to cook and thoroughly blacken two waffles before leaving the establishment and not returning during our visit. I think we must have been in during shift change because the team of about 8-10 workers cleared out to 3 while we waited for food. This made our food take quite a bit longer than usual for WH although maybe that's standard for this particular location. It was finally delivered by the second server that was spoken of earlier, who apologized for the wait on the waffles, which arrived about five minutes after my husband and son's patty melts. I never expect all-star service at any WH but this just felt particularly off.
Super Sketchy part of town. Restaurant was clean and cool.. Food was fast and good. They do have loud music there, wasn't loud, can't talk loud...But louder than I'd like to eat..
