Waffle House

I've been to this specific location multiple times over the last 25 years and I can honestly say this last visit was probably the worst experience I've ever had at a waffle house location. The food itself was fine. After the cook remade the waffle after I watched him pull it off the waffle iron and place it on a plate with his bare hand. The waitress was nice but went off to eat and disappeared for a good 30 mins. Not to mention that they had half the dining room closed and the half that was open had dirty dishes at every table and bar stool. Edit: 3/22/24 So I think tonight may have topped my previous bad experience. I was actually starting to feel better about my most recent experiences at this location but I'm starting to think the problem lies now in the night shift. Every part of my meal was cold besides the eggs and that was probably bc that was the last thing cooked with the toast being done almost 10 minutes before that. Grits were luke warm so the cheese I paid 50 cents for didn't even attempt to melt. The bacon was burnt and cold and the eggs had shell in them. Oh, and put butter on cold toast so it was just a glob of unmelted butter on bread. Yeah, I think I'll go to the 411 location after 10pm.

From where I sat I watched them cooking my food. The yelling out orders to the cooks was distracting and I couldn't do a job like that but everyone seemed to be handleing it well. We were a party of 7 at 2 booths. One order was missing 1 item but it was quickly remedied. One order was wrong but it was corrected just not as quickly. I think some was deducted from the cost as compensation. All in all food and service was great.

My father ordered hash browns scattered and nothing else he received it with onions and peppers he could not eat it I called no one pick up so I waited then got someone said if he didn’t like it why did you come here we make it as is… never again

New store, new help just needs time to feel their way and flow. A bit too much butter used for my taste but good and clean
