Voyager Craft Coffee

Ah Voyager. I miss it. I moved out to Colorado during the pandemic and never had the chance to visit the Alameda store until I spun back in on a business trip. Such a great place. Every Voyager has top notch customer service (and coffee. and toast. and chai - which i didn’t get, but can’t seem to find a match for anywhere else on the planet) and this one is no exception. Props to everyone there and Sam and Lauren. Still one of the best coffee shops I know of.

I’ve travelled around the country over the years for work, and I’ve tried a LOT of coffee. I make it my goal anytime I land somewhere to find the best craft coffee in town (ideally roasters). In a recent trip to the Bay Area I went through a list and visited what people consider to be the best in the area. I have to say at the end of the day Voyager Coffee was UNEQUIVOCALLY the best coffee I had. My wife and I had a Valencia over ice based on the recommendation of an incredibly friendly barista (I didn’t catch her name, but she mentioned the iced Valencia was her fav. Seriously the most friendly barista we encountered in the SF area, managers take note! 🤙🏻) Not only was the coffee the best we had, but the Valencia and Tokyo (we went back 😂) were the most creative coffee drink we’ve had in a long time. They didn’t hinder the taste of their incredible roast, and also added some unique tasting notes that were actually present in the drink. (Not like some places that have unique drinks with eye catching ingredients that you don’t end up tasting in the drink). We also brought a bag of beans home and it’s been bomb! Can’t recommend this shop enough!

First time here and did not regret it. The place is nice, clean and spacious for sitting or even working. Order cold brew and Tokyo hot coffee. The tokyo was so tasty with subtle Cherry blossom flavor and brown sugar. Cold brew was ok. So I would highly recommend trying Tokyo. Another bonus point is that staff was so friendly and helpful.
