I have been to places with great. Customer service, but this place blows all out of the water. As we got seated we noticed it was a very classy place. The lighting was perfect. The staff was more than friendly, very welcoming. The chef came out and asked us what we wanted. She was great with our very picky u year old daughter. She made her chicken that my daughter called heavenly. Not a word she ever uses. I ordered the gumbo and the sangria which were to die for. The Bison Burger my son had was amazing. He was quiet the whole time he ate it and had the look of bliss. My wife had the Mahi Mahi on red beans and rice and was blows away by the flavors. The server was extremely kind and very attentive. They created a dining experience I feel will be once in a lifetime. Next time we come back to Cisco we will definitely be back. Thank you guys! You all are amazing.
It was terrible. The chicken was burnt the red beans rice taste like boxed the collards were not done. I didn't enjoy this place at all. I would never recommend this place to anybody.
The food was awesome. Chef Eva came out and spoke with us which we really appreciated and enjoyed. The food and drinks were beautifully presented. We loved everything. The decor is not as elevated as the food but is welcoming. The Sangria was good as well as the other specialty cocktails. We would go back and we encourage you to give it a taste
Legit one of the best meals I've had in some time. Thier voodoo sauce, red beans and rice, yams and shrimp is something to experience. Will be sure to visit several times more before I leave SF! Compliments to the chef!
Good food, great service.
I have been a fan with chef Eva before she moved to 303 2nd street..and have followed ever since...I ordered Da fuquin seafood roll and it was TERRIBLE the seafood was hard rubbery and chewy, bread had no moist to it..I ordered the chicken protein with 2 sides..THE CHICKEN SEEMED LIKE IT WAS GLUED TOGETHER it fell apart and it was dark peices attached to light peices and it had NO BONE..just breaded chicken stuck together that easily saperated..only think worth eating was the collard greens..LOVE THE NEW WAY OF HOW ITS DONE AND MY SIDE OF RED BEANS..the major Mac was dry had to send back for more sauce and once I ate it I could not believe how different it taste from how it is suppose to taste..noodles was not even Al dente they were hard and seafood again tough a rubbery..the Mac and cheese dont even seemed like it hit an oven just threw together..I understand that chef Eva cannot be there to always cook her dishes but it would be great to have someone back there who can follow her recipe how it should be done..THE FOOD WAS A MAJOR DISSAPPOINTMENT LIKE MY MAJOR MAC..I can't even recommend any dishes because whoever Is cooking should not be. they are messing up..and that chicken with NO BONES SHOULD BE OUTLAWED TO SERVE PEOPLE..OR AT LEAST LET THEM KNOW THEY ARE EATING GLUED PEICES OF CHICKEN THEN FRIED
Chef Eva’s food is amazing! I will definitely be back. Thank you for make the San Fransisco trip the best!!
We loved the atmosphere, but unfortunately the food was a disappointment. I was excited to have vegetarian options at a Cajun place, but the vegan gumbo and pineapple fried rice were very bland. The veggie cake appetizer was dry and relied on the BBQ sauce for redemption. The fried rice was served in a hollowed out pineapple, which was very pretty, but made for a very small portion of food. The gumbo had a large amount of white rice in the bowl, so the $32 price point seemed unfair. The side of mac and cheese was the only dish that was especially tasty. The service was slow despite us being the only table for most of our stay and the server kept trying to leave before getting everyone’s order. They seemed overall distracted. Also note that the online menu is pretty different than what you’ll see when you go in.
