In town from Austin and I was stocked to see a Voodoo Doughnuts!!Coolest doughnuts ever! The ODB and grape ape were on point!
Super easy to access in the Denver airport making the layover a bit more exciting. We love their vegan donuts and the price was very reasonable. Delicious !
While in DIA, I stopped in out of interest. Novelty-like, with rotating spindles displaying donuts. I snagged a Portland Crème and Apple Fritter to the tune of $10+. The Portland Crème had very dry dough, a thin layer of chocolate and very tasty Boston crème filling through half of it. Conversely, the Apple Fritter was amazing: light dough, crispy exterior, lightly sweetened apple notes, not overly-sweet icing. Bottom line, at roughly $5 per donut, I feel that this is novelty, and you can find equal or better for less.
Pro tip: Near Gates 30. This will take a bit of time This airport donut spot taste exactly like the other voodoo donuts in a good way. I really appreciate the variety of donuts and the quality was so good. There were only two places to check out and it consistently had a line when I’ve traveled through here.
The doughnuts are tasty, no doubt about that. I got the 'Portland', which is custard filled and topped with a chocolate frosting. Disappointed most of the chocolate on the top flaked, cracked and then crumbled right onto the ground. Worth the $4.25 I paid at the Denver Airport? No. I'm not sure if they're outrageouslly priced like that at each location, but if they are, I won't go to another. I also got a drip coffee. They had a little self-serve bar with organic sugars and half and half. The half and half had curdled milk all along the spigot suggesting it had been sitting out for hours without a refresh or new bottle. I opted for black coffee.
Overhyped, overpriced, and dry mid-tier donuts.
Tasty doughnuts, but service is slow
No complaints about the donuts. The raised/yeast donuts weren't as airy as I like but they were good and worth the price.
I was so excited to hear we were flying through Denver ! Excited to get my favorite fritter at voodoo donuts. I was so sad when they were out ! And out of my second favorite glazed old fashioned :(
Awesome gem in Terminal B at Denver's Airport. So many options on the doughnut menu and qell worth the wait, which wasn't a wait at all. The staff was attentive, professional and courtesy. They did a great job of rushing me through so there was little or not wait. This is a "must try" if you have time while you're at Denver Airport.
