I wanted to buy some fried chicken and salad. The Mexican inside seemed to be only responsible for working and not selling anything. I asked him to help me get the fried chicken, but he just looked at me coldly and continued to fiddle with his fried chicken, ignoring me, as if his job was not to sell products. Their staff were just displaying products. Things here can only be viewed, not bought. Bad review.

Vons is conveniently located but it's more expensive than Ralph's. It's usually busy with terrible lines blocking foot traffic, to the registers.

I went to the VONS in Pacific Beach today for the first time. I was so impressed. I don't think I've ever seen so many self-check out machines before and numerous checkers open too. It was a quick grab my items and really fast checkout. I highly recommend going there if you don't like waiting in long, slow lines. I compare this to the Pacific Beach Ralph's that I went to the night before. It was a mess. Only 2 checkers open with long slow lines and a couple self-check out machines. Meanwhile they had numerous self-checkout machines at the other end all locked off. Horrible "service". I used to go there, but it's been a year since. What a DISAPPOINTMENT !!!

My review is of their gas station. Specifically about employees. Jose should have been fired a long time ago. There are countless complaints against him. I know this because a Von’s representative told me this. They told me he should have been fired by now. Jose is antagonistic and passive aggressive. Whoever does the hiring needs to do better. Then there’s a guy named Nolan who refuses to take cash at 7:00 pm because he closes out his register an hour and a half before they close. ??? This is a corporation. So not surprised. Owned by Kroger who is mostly owned by Vanguard There are several small, locally-owned gas stations around. I’m going to stop giving my money to this America-hating corporation and support them instead. I suggest you do the same.

Unprofessional. Guy with a mustache in deli named Jose was rude. I was asking what part of the chicken he picked up was called. I asked if that was called a wing. He says "don't worry about what I call it, how many do you want". I think he's covering up the fact that he doesn't know what it's called.

i ordered on the app and had curb pick-up. It was very smooth and easy. Everything i ordered out of $175 in groceries was received. i highly recommended this service. There was no extra charge. i simply let them know i was on my way through the app. Parked, gave my space number, and the grocher came out with a cart full of bagged groceries. So cool!
