I bought 2 lobster tails just yesterday at 7.99 per tail. The lobster tails had no flavor like I normally experience and they were very dry even though I cooked them the same way I always cook them. Hopefully I don't get sick off these tails. Well I just got sick off their 7.99 lobster tails at the Vons on Washington Street in Mission Hills

I was just harassed by a lady today at the self-checkout. This is how she tried to get my attention - “HEY HEY!! Come back here!” (Yes, she was yelling.) She was hostile, rude, and insisted I should have let her know that I wasn’t going to continue with my purchases; otherwise, she’s going to think I was STEALING. She literally said those words: STEALING. Her first thought was that I was “stealing,” to which I responded, “How am I stealing if I’m going back into the store? (to check the deals for probiotics) Why would anyone steal probiotics and fish oil? She said, “There is a camera in front of this machine”—Seriously? There are cameras everywhere. My question for management is: How are you checking for homophobia and racism? Because the same day, another white man at the cash register was rude and doubted the fact that I was getting the buy 1 get 1 free deal (mix & match) for vitamins. He mutters, “yeah not sure if this is gonna work” (IT DID) How do they not know the deals? Aren’t they suppose to be helping? I want the old Hillcrest back. My partner is white passing and she tells me that they are very nice to her at the store and doesn’t understand why they see/treat me this way (yes she was there the entire time to witness this). It seems this has been a recurring problem around Hillcrest/Mission Hills nowadays.

Absolutely love this store. Working in the area and the Fresh salads, sushi and sandwiches are reasonably priced and delicious. The bonus is the staff is extremely sweet and kind.

We like the Vons It's close to us and the parking is usually convenient. Who knows about prices. Too hard to compare Vons vs Ralph's vs Albertsons. Garage is very busy on weekends.

Love this Vons - especially the easy parking, wide aisles and how clean it always is. The pharmacy line is usually shorter than most too, especially the one in Liberty Station. On my last trip I was in a hurry with just a bottle of wine, and the two checkout lines were long. But April came to my rescue and rang me up over by the self checkout so I could be on my way. Keep up the good work!

Welcome to cross contamination central! If your order sliced meat/cheese, take notice how they don’t change their gloves nor wash hands as they go from one order, to the phone, to the scale, to the freezer and then onto your order… not once changing gloves, so now all of those germs are on your food; it’s disgusting and is the reason people get sick.
