Volo Restaurant Wine Bar

Volo is the perfect spot for a chill girls night or even a date night in the city (Roscoe Village). The private cabanas are super cute and cozy and I love that they are an option year-round. Although it was pretty full when I went, I loved that it wasn't overly loud where I had to scream at my friend. Great vibes. They have a rotating seasonal menu and some evergreen items as well. Definitely worth giving a try.

A group of us came here for happy hour, and it's my new favorite happy hour, hands down! Their patio is so lovely and cozy, even on a cold January evening. And the service was outstanding. Had a couple of extra people show up after we were seated and the server Leslie was very accommodating, even though having the extra people pulled up to the smaller table made it difficult for her to serve. As a former server myself, the service was top notch, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options!

We were here (during restaurant week) yesterday, and I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe it was because it was opening night of restaurant week, but our food literally took forever. It's like 30 minutes between each course. The staff wasn't very knowledgeable or kind. One of the dishes (the cauliflower) was way too salty and tasted weird. The worst was the cold. Where we were seated (outdoors in the heated patio) was extremely cold, and we were freezing by the end of the night. The patio definitely wasn't as heated as advertised, and although they provided us blankets, we were freezing and couldn't wait to leave. Finally, one more remark: it is a wine bar, but maybe its because its 2024 we hoped they would serve maybe one or two NA wines as well. They don't. So if you're looking for that, dont go.

Nestled in Roscoe Village, Volo is a hidden gem with a top-notch patio. The wine bar offers a relaxed vibe and an extensive wine list. Don't miss their daily Happy Hour (4 pm - 6 pm) with $1 oysters and $2 Limoncello shots. The Steak Tartare is a flavor-packed delight, and the Filet Mignon au Poivre promises a gourmet journey. A must-visit for oyster lovers and those seeking a cozy-chic atmosphere.

The mussels are a must try! This is the perfect place to get to know someone better with their cozy atmosphere and cabanas.

So impressed with their new menu!! This is my third time at Volo over the last few years. The first two times were good, but their new menu will draw me back to try more of their food! Lots of great wines by the glass from many regions - burgundy, piedmont, rioja to name a few. Even had a variety of dessert wines by the glass! Tons of gluten free options and waiter took my allergy seriously. GF fryer so could have the croquettes! Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free / celiac. Staff takes allergies seriously, most of menu is GF including the croquettes!

Fun place, good wines, great food, and a lovely biergarden/back patio space.
