Food and service for our Valentine's Day dinner was average; we showed up to our reservation early and took an hour to eat dinner. The lights were turned on on us while we were signing the check, and the food was far from spectacular. This last part is not a big deal, but all the same, the server said they were out of roses for the ladies. The bartender went and grabbed one when he saw my partner did not get one on our way out.
Everything I ordered just didn't hit the mark. The grilled oysters were overwhelmed by too much salty cheese, the fish lacked flavor, the veggies turned out soggy, and the tiramisu was overly sweet. It was also pretty noisy, not the best spot for a chat. On the bright side, our server was amazing!
Bartender was great, service was good and the food was fantastic
The good: Great attentive service Nice drinks Merry Monday (reduced price drinks and apps) The salmon kebabs The bang bang cauliflower (the best bite of the evening) The underwhelming: The spinach artichoke dip and hummus (bland, the one I make at home is much tastier) The Stuffed artichoke pasta - the artichokes were not cleaned properly and I had to spit our the tough bits. It was supposed to come with feta and sun dried tomatoes- it had a pea sized amount of each “stuffed” into each artichoke. The menu did not say what else came with the pasta so I was baffled when it was a mix of carrots, green beans, Brussel sprouts and potatoes mixed into the linguini that was totally dry and over cooked… for a Mediterranean restaurant, I had higher expectations for a pasta dish..
Great food, wine selection wasn't as extensive as I would have thought (given the name of the place). Overall, excellent place and we look forward to enjoying the patio when the warmer weather returns!
Service was awful. It took over an hour to get a drink and an hour and half to order main entrees. Chicken was dry and food bland. Beautiful restaurant, but will never go back.
