Great little cafe! Delicious food and coffee, fabulous service!
Haven't been to this location in years, but it is good to see that they expanded. They probably can even expand more, seeing that it looks like that restaurant in the front of the building is no longer there. Very cozy, bright, friendly atmosphere. The service is great. We were just there for a coffee and some baked goods. Couple cookies are a sourdough pan loaf that we absolutely love for avocado toast. Well, worth a stop in if you need a pick me up for the day with their extensive menu of coffee drinks or if you're just looking to satisfy your sweet tooth or stock up on some bread.
Tasty cinnamon buns, good coffee
Terrible experience dining in for a late lunch around 2:30 today. Food runner (Mel I believe her name tag said) dropped off my food — I asked her if I could get a cup of iced water as well. She rolled her eyes at me and said “we are not a full service restaurant” but then proceeded to grab me a water, passive aggressively filled the cup 1/3 of the way, dropped it off, and then went over to her co-worker and started gossiping (quite obvious since they both looked over at me mid-conversation). I didn’t realize asking for an iced water was so wrong, especially during such a quiet time. I asked if I could speak to the manager and she reported she was the shift manager. I do understand village bakery is a cafe style restaurant, but this hostility and response from the food runner was really uncalled for. Someone without customer service skills should not be working the FOH of a restaurant of any kind. I hope this matter is addressed.
Large selection of breakfast. Brioche is great. Poached egg is great.
Food is good coffee is good, atmosphere is fine, prices are a little high but comes with the territory.
Great food. except for our rude table service.
