Vieux-Port Steakhouse

Service was... lackluster. Waitress didn't even ask how we wanted our steaks cooked... at a steakhouse. No water refills without asking. Food was good, not great. Decent spot for a meal, but better options are abundant.

On March 7th I made a reservation at Vieux-Port Steakhouse for my 40th Birthday which was yesterday ( April13) and I specifically requested the big square/round table so all of my 12 invitiees coming from different cities can see each other and talk. I even called 2 weeks before and also one week before the dinner to make sure the specific table I requested is reservred for me, and the restaurant confirmer. At arrival yesterday, the short man with glasses at the reception said rudely that the table is gone, and we can only get a regular rectangular long table at the end of the resturant. I explained that I requested specifally the big table and called few times before to make sure it's there for my 40th birthday ( in fac it was the only reason I booked in this restaurant knwoing they have this kind of big tables), but the guy said: this is what we have now, take it or leave it is a very strict and unwelcoming tone. We sat at the very end of the restaurant where they seem they train there waiters ( 2 times we got food ordered from other tables on ours by mistake, while our food was extremely delayed). 30 min later, 2 square/ round tables were empty as shown in the photo. The restaurant did not even try to apologize or justify the mistake they made in my reservation, or why our food was delayed, and their waiters were below the expected level. They simply could have offered us a glass of wine, knowing it's someone's 40th birthay with a group of people but obviously they don't care. Will NEVER put a foot in Vieux-Port steakhouse again. When you go to higher than average restaurant you expect to receive a better service, but Not at Vieux-Port Steakhouse. All of our invitees will blacklist this restaurant for the horrible experience we had last night.

Best place to get together with friends and enjoy wonderful foods/drinks.
