Donut perfection

I've been a customer of VG's since 2015. Ive Ordered my wedding cake, baby shower cake and children's birthday cakes from them since and always have been so happy. We are big fans of their red velvet cake. So easy to work with when placing a cake order and very reasonable prices. There was a miscommunication with my order recently but Megan was wonderful and helped make my son's birthday a day to remember. She was able to make his cake in 45 mins and had Aspen deliver it straight to my door. Their commitment to their customers always takes priority and we will continue to be a loyal customer of VG's! Thank you Megan, you're amazing!

There's never an event, occasion or celebration where VG's isn't an appropriate solution or absolutely necessary. Don't take my word for it, they've been around forever, so they absolutely know what they're doing in the world of pastries & baked goodies.

Donut Series, Part 13 VG’s on Valentine’s. It just felt like the right time to give this special place in the heart of many San Diegans a chance to get to know each other better. Putting smiles on the faces of locals since 1969, we love how pillowy soft their donuts are, without the heartbreak of a greasy aftertaste, and light enough to make you interested in a second date. While we’re not sure we’re lovestruck just yet, we have to admit that we keep glancing at our phones to see if the feelings are mutual. C’mon and ring already, would ‘ya!!!! I've been going here for more than fifty years, literally. One day a few years ago, I met the owner. I asked him why he didn't make a chain, as his donuts are literally the best in the world. He told me, “I could, but it wouldn't be special.” Word to the wise… cherish this humbly legendary bakery - it won't be around forever.

I've been coming here for decades whenever I’m in the area and now my kids are doing the same! Thank you for such good food VG’s!

Second to none last 40 years

The Best Donuts. Buddy recommended them and was very impressed. Cheap, easy, and delicious. Favorite was the raised Maple.
