Tyler is the ABSOLUTE best.
The food was great and had a wonderful time also. The parmesan wheel pasta is a must at this place. If you’re in Tucson, this is the place to come.
As an LGBTQIA+ Palestinian I found myself welcomed at Vera Amore. The pepperoni was so delicious I violated the rules of halal and downed 3 whole pepperonis that were soft-grilled to perfection.
Undersized, overpriced, and undercooked. Considering PIZZA is in the restaurants name, they could do better than this. Sausage looks like it was picked off of a Tombstone pizza and repurposed. But hey, at least we got a weak salad (in which they put two dressings, one was unasked for, and the lid popped open in transit, ruining the salad) and a pasta dish with chicken for $50+. 4 stars because the takeout was kinda quick and my wife loved her pasta.
I have been to this restaurant a few times, BUT this time it left me wondering. The patio was empty, and there were 2 couples in the interior sitting at tables and about 3 people sitting at the bar. We asked for a table for 2, and the hosts there replied there were only 2 seats open at the bar, and all tables were reserved. I myself will never sit my wife at a bar for dinner. We elected to go elsewhere and spend our money there. I hope this was an isolated incident.
It is always a great experience at Vero Amore!!!
