Veranda Restaurant

Veranda at Rancho Bernardo Inn is such a gem, and I feel fortunate to live nearby. My husband and I had a late lunch on Sunday, all while enjoying the prettiest sunshine and golf course view. Our service was excellent and our food was, too! Portions were just enough. I had eggs benedict w/asparagus, and my husband had a burger w/tots. Everything was really tasty! This will be a special occasion dining spot, and we'll look forward to trying more menu items in the future. Plan a few extra minutes (and bring comfortable shoes) to walk the grounds after your meal. It's so pretty and peaceful. The aroma from the spa retail shop was so relaxing...I didn't want to leave, lol. The spa facilities and pool are super dreamy. We really enjoyed the whole experience!

The hummus was good but the BLT sandwich was disappointing because it was like an amateur home cook quality, meaning that anyone can make it like that. Service was slow as well

As a community member this is a fun place to go, you feel like you have traveled afar. The view is spectacular and peaceful, we enjoy bringing out of town guests here to dine. As expected, prices are up there and include the added percentage to your tab as many places do which makes me think twice about my frequency as a customer. It would be great if their inside bar had a more of a good old fashioned bar menu, separating it from the veranda restaurant. When I go to a bar I don't expect to look at big dollar menu items and anything fancy at that. Check out the music, some great talent to enjoy.

Breakfast with visiting family was awesome. The vibe of the place was just what we needed. The food - while a bit pricey - was delicious and well presented. We will be back more often. Parking: It’s a big lot, but often pretty full to accommodate the hotel, so patience is helpful.
