As a vegetarian who frequently explores vegan cuisine across the city, I approached this establishment with high hopes. However, I must share that my experience did not quite meet my expectations. The vegan chicken legs, though an interesting concept, unfortunately fell short in flavor, lacking the depth and richness I was anticipating. Similarly, the vegan ox tail and mac and cheese left an unwelcome aftertaste, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal. The burger, while not unremarkable, was primarily notable for its unique sauce and vegan bacon, which imparted a distinctive flavor that may not be to everyone's liking. In summary, while I had high hopes for this dining experience, I found myself a bit underwhelmed. I was unable to finish the meal which had a premium tag of $110.00
My burger was super good.however my lady didn't enjoy her oxtails..she stated it was to spicy .
The idea is good however, they need a better Chef. The food is very bad.
Please sell hoodies for your merch , and chocolate shakes please
So happy to have found this awesome place. It’s small but they have outdoor siting so that’s nice. The food is so good & savory. The portions are ok. It’s a perfectly inmate & cozy spot for a date!
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at VeganHood, given the 4.5 star reviews. I won’t be surprised if this establishment is based on self-rated stars. Firstly, the state of the bathroom was appalling; toilet paper was lying about and the toilet seat was unsanitary. The toilet paper was placed on the hood. It's clear cleanliness isn't a priority here. To add insult to injury, we were hit with a surprise 20% charge for a large party despite only having four people. The lack of transparency is unacceptable. Upon our arrival, they should’ve mentioned this. Especially since usually a large party is 6 people and more. The food was another letdown. The veggie burgers appeared undercooked and tasted like it, leaving an odd raw aftertaste. The fries were excessively salty in some parts, making them nearly inedible. As well as unevenly spiced. Even worse, the chicken nuggets and drumsticks were indistinguishable, yet we were charged extra for the illusion of variety. Overall, this dining experience was a complete let down.
