Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

Van Leeuwen is a popular scoop shop located in cities across America. With locations in New York City. The first thing that caught my attention was the variety of flavor options. There were your typical ice cream shop flavors such as Cookies and Cream and Vanilla Bean, but also some unique flavors like Honeycomb and Earl Grey Tea. Not only is there the traditional ice cream menu, but there is an entire list of vegan ice cream options. Fortunately for many, it isn’t a small selection. Many of the fan-favorite flavors like Cookies and Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough are available on their traditional and vegan menu.

Had great time tasting all of the new flavors here. The staff was extremely patient and accommodating. Recommended some good picks and I decided to go with the banana pudding. It was absolutely out of this world. Tasted exactly like the real thing you would get on Thanksgiving or Christmas! It was like Magnolia Bakery good but ice cream!

The ice cream was just ok not great. Nearly $8 for a small cup I find to be expensive for ok ice cream. Credit only, no cash accepted excludes some customers and service is slow.

Ticked off another ice cream place in the city. The service and the atmosphere is really cool at this outlet, the staff being patient while helping me try the flavors. I tried out honeycomb and dulche de leche. I totally loved the dulche de leche whereas honeycomb had a crunch in it which felt good but could have been better. On a positive note, the ice cream is pretty creamy and the prices are a bit on the higher side but overall its satisfactory!

Incredibly frustrating experience. Never got our ice cream. Two employees were moving very slowly even though the line was out the door. We were next in line but the second employee instead of taking our order, she stood there on her phone.

This is my favorite and Very best ice cream in Brooklyn, especially downtown. Lucky to be open all year with impeccable service! Every time, I get my favorite flavor, Sicilian Pistachio. And last time i went Price was kind enough to let me try a few flavors. Thank you! :)
