V & S Italian Deli

I went in and ordered a pastrami on rye lightly toasted with Swiss, pickles,coleslaw and thousand Island dressing on both sides.THE GUY WROTE IT DOWN.as I was checking out the dude wanted to charge me for roast beef.he forgot the pickles,swiss,didn't toast it litely or otherwise and only one side had thousand Island dressing on it.i guess I should be happy I got a sandwich BUT WHY THE HELL WRITE IT DOWN IF YOUR NOT GOING TO LOOK AT WHAT YOU WROTE DOWN.the place was not even getting slammed so I don't understand the confusion.you guys need to try harder.

A year ago I wrote a very positive review but after calling the morning of 2/12/24 it appears as if the place is under new management. Having worked in hospitality I’m extremely kind and the man on the phone was very rude for no reason. I ordered a small Italian sub for pick up and was told it would be a 15 minute wait which is fine but then he told me before hanging up it would actually be 40 minutes? A 40 minute wait for a cold sub on a Monday morning the day after SuperBowl? That does not sound right.

A place so great I can’t drive past it when I’m in the area, it’s a guaranteed stop. Italian combo on their seeded Italian crispy bread is the best sandwich south of New York itself (and even then…)! Been going here for almost twenty years and it’s great to see the same faces, this is a tightly run family business that runs like a well oiled machine. If you order takeout online or over the phone, be prepared to call 45-60 minutes in advance. Otherwise, walk ins are pretty simple. Always worth the wait, literally at any cost. They also have a wide array of hot foods and can also cater events. Vinny and Sal started something beautiful in 1985 and we’re so glad to see it part of the Boca cuisine all these years later. Vegetarian options: Great fresh veggies for cheese sandwiches and all kinds of vegetarian deli dishes.

If I could give their service a 6th star, I would. When you haven’t visited for over a year and they remember your name, that special. Speaking of, the absolute best sandwhich in town. There are deli’s and there are experiences.

I’m a native Brooklyn girl and I am a self proclaimed sandwich expert for this reason. I lived in boca from 2002 until 09 and v&s was a staple. Now I live in miami and every time I go to boca I make sure to make a stop and get a sandwich or 3! The people are the same and the sandwiches never change.. always amazing!
