Uva Next Door

I’ve been going Uva for 15 years, and thought I would try UVA Next Door on my way home on Sunday evening. They were busy and directed me to the bar for dinner. While the bartender made a lovely cocktail, after 30 min I asked if there was an update in my food: the bartender said “oops, I forgot” and offered me shots. Of course the guy dining along to my right and the couple to my left had been well-attended. I guess she thought as a woman alone I wanted to nurse a cocktail on a Sunday evening. Bottom line: if you are a woman dining alone, don’t bother; if you are a guy or part of couple; the food looks amazing. Unfortunately, I’m soured in the Lusardi’s/Uva restaurants for now. Giving the food 3 stars because it looked and smelled food, but I didn’t get a chance to try it fresh as it was cold by the time I got home.

Great Italian food. Clean and great service. Nice ambience. Will come back and try other things in their menu.

Absolutely lovely place. The food is delicious, expertly made, quickly served and just scrumptious. The service is unbelievable, our server Natalie was kind and patient despite us being a big group of people. The ambiance is fantastic, the drinks are delicious. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ve been here a couple times and I will continue to come back! Absolutely amazing place.

Overall rating: 4.4 I came here for martini $4 Monday & boy was it good! The burger was good too! But! I can’t give a higher rating bc it’s people on top of people. It’s so crowded. The service was very hard to get & a reservation is def recommended. If you’re a young professional looking for a fun night I recommend. But being 30+ & living in Brooklyn, this wasn’t worth it to me. If I’m in the area, on a Monday, I might swing by. The all day happy hour is totally worth it if you’re strapped for cash. Recommend to the kiddos.

I have been to Uva Next Door a few times and have always had a nice time. The drinks and food are not particularly unique but all well balanced and tasty. I have gone with friends but I also think it would be a good place for a date — not too loud and lights on the dim side.
