Great experience! Waiter, Pedro, was very friendly. Food was delicious. Learned that it's under new ownership and the food is more local to the origin of the owner - Puglia! Highly recommend
New management. New puglia angle. Delicious. Loved the margarita pizza.
We had a wonderful dinner here last night. The owner is from Puglia, Italy and passionate about bringing his hometown food to SF. We had the burrata with pucia bread, sausage and provolone pizza and bolognese pasta. Each one was better than the next and the service was very attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to go back!
Absolutely perfect place to enjoy excellent food, great wine, and super kind staff. I highly recommend! Food for all dietary restrictions! Vegetarian options: Vegan pizza, vegetarian pizza, vegetarian pasta
The food is regional to Italy’s heel, Apulia. The bread is unique - light, yet crispy. The food is great. One of the best tiramisus I’ve ever eaten. Highly recommend.
Apparently, the restaurant changed ownership in January of this year and the menu has changed some. I walked in to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. I found a neighborhood gem and highly recommend it. The pizza was thin crust, somewhat crunchy due to a combination of flour. It was delicious and unique. Large, great kale salad. The staff was friendly and responsive. The background music was enjoyed. Many Italian wines to pair with meals and the owner provided insights and recommendations. There are so many fine SF Italian restaurants and this one is affordable, clean, unique with outstanding food, service, and ambience. A lucky find for me and I'll be back!
I've been to Uva Enoteca a few times for both lunch and dinner. The menu items are fantastic, and incredibly tasty. I find that the ambiance is a little flat, especially inside of the restaurant, so I do not love that about the place. That being said, if you are going only for the food, this place can't be beat.
After Christmas dinner with friends that wanted to go on Haight and I’m not familiar with this street at all so I looked up the reviews and tried this place out. I’m gluten free and meat free and they do have gluten free pasta, but when I saw the reviews on the eggplant, I had to try it! It was sooo good! Perfect, not too tangy and not too sweet! Just enough cheese (not vegan), had the beets with ricotta and mint and thought that might be weird but it went perfectly together! Everyone else said their food was amazing too! It would have made my dinner perfect if there was gluten free bread to sop up my sauce! The dessert we had the panna cotta with raspberry and corn flake crunch which also sounded weird but it works!
Such a great restaurant with friendly staff and a great happy hour. Great way to wrap up a work day or start off your evening
We love this place. Since they opened it’s been our neighborhood go to for Italian and is just consistently great. Tonight we decided to wander along Divisadero to grab a bite and every place we checked had a 30-40 minute wait. So, we shrugged our shoulders and headed to what we knew would be a solid, comforting meal. There was only one other table with diners which broke my heart but you know what? The food was still excellent, the service cheerful and we left happy.
