Finest breads in central NY. The women that at the New Hartford location are wonderful.
Definitely give this place a try the 2 women there were so friendly. Got a variety of stuff and all of it was good. Didn’t get any bread because we usually don’t eat much bread but definitely next week I will be giving that a try.
I was killing some time in the area waiting for a doctors appointment and I stumbled upon Utica Bread! Such a cute bakery. The two Italian ladies were so nice to me. They helped me pick out a brioche loaf and a pastry. We get to talking and they insist I try some of their tomato pie and a croissant. When I tried giving them more money they refused and told me to keep it and just made me promise I would come back and visit them. I wish I would have gotten their names but you'll know them by their sweet faces. Besides the service, the bread is so delicious! I just made some french toast out of it and oh my gosh, it is so thick and not too airy like grocery store bread. This is the good stuff
My favorite place to stop when we’re in town - the sesame loaf is amazing.
Breakfast sandwiches are solid, the bread is second to none in the city and the everhything croissants are a definite must try.
Love getting fresh bread here on the weekends. This seems to the satellite location, not the bakery. The bakery is also local so the bread is fresh daily. They also have some sandwiches and cookies.
Utica bread is another favorite locally owned company of mine. I used to enjoy the location in downtown Utica as I could get coffee at Utica coffee and then get my pastry next door. They still have two more locations but they are not as convenient to travel to as I remember. The breads are grest and are obviously homemade. My favorite are the scones. Very light, moist and fluffy but full of flavor. A perfect desert. The prices are a little on the higher end, and the hours can sometimes be sporadic but it still makes for a nice place to try out and visit every once in a while.
