We went to Usmania on Sunday. The food was exceptionally great. We ordered Mix Grill (All chicken), Mutton Biryani, Nuggets, Nahari, Gulab Jamun, and Kheer. And all of those dishes were delicious. Request to the Owner: Please keep your food quality the same down the row. Over the years, we have liked 2 Pakistani restaurants in the Dallas area and now they both have stopped serving delicious food. You are the only 1 Pakistani restaurant which we have liked so far. I wish you all the best and hope that you will keep up with the food quality & cleanliness of your restaurant.
Usmania Restaurant is a hidden gem, offering an unforgettable dining experience. The Beef Nihari was a flavor explosion, tender and rich, while the Garlic Butter Naan was a perfect accompaniment, soft and indulgent. The ambiance was inviting, providing a peaceful retreat, and the restaurant's cleanliness added to the overall appeal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, enhancing the dining experience with their warm hospitality.
The food was amazing. Very satisfied
Visited for dinner and had an extremely poor experience. Portions were Small relative to their price - the butter chicken had maybe 5 small pieces of chicken in it, perhaps a third of what a normal person would consider an acceptable amount. Service was also disorganized - we waited over an hour to receive all of our food, and other parties were served before us despite having ordered after. It took 1.5 HOURS to get all the food - they forgot half the order and needed reminding. The combination of tiny portions, high prices, and poor service might have been overlooked had the food been particularly impressive - which it was not. Flavors were overall muted and a subpar representation of Pakistani food. To top it off, the bill arrived with a mandatory gratuity despite the various issues - cancelling our order after receiving the butter chicken would've been a wise decision in hindsight. Any other restaurant with a modicum of respect for the customer would've thrown the bill in the bin.
Good food and overall nice Pakistani restaurant.
Food was a disappointment. We had Nihari (which I guess they are famous for), mix grill, and Peshawari Chicken (according to the host, you can't find this anywhere) All three dishes were below par and the spiece-less. The service was above average, and the coordinating rush came in with the rearrangement of tables. They have clean corner for Namaz but could be considerate to lower the volume of the music. + Price $$$
Great experience. Exceptional service by Teju who was a wonderful server. Biryani was really good.
