You can easily find an open table for yourself or a group around 7:30pm during the week at this spot. I used to live in Singapore and really missed the hawker centers there. I was so happy to discover Urban Hawker that has so many Singaporean dishes. I highly recommend the poached chicken rice with veggies and oyster sause, it tasted just like the one in Singapore!
It's a very authentic Asian focused food court. Great place to great food without traveling.
This place is fantastic. It bring what the Anthony Bourdain wanted — authentic Singaporean Hawker Food. The black pepper crab and chili crab is excellent — tasty like it was made in Singapore. So many good different types of meals to have. Chicken Congee, Teh C, and the DESSERTS !!
My go to place every time I miss having Singapore food. It’s quite expensive there though but once in awhile will not hurt. I am just very happy to have my favourite white beehoon in this place. The homemade iced tea and variety of SG kopi. My friends and I who have lived in Singapore for many years before moving to New York City meets here and reminisce our memories of the Little Red Dot. So shiok lah!
Came here late afternoon on a Sunday. It was pretty empty and the gas pipe had an issue just when we entered so half of the restaurants were closed on one side including the chicken rice shop (bummer!) we tried the Indonesian dishes and they only had jasmine rice out of the four base selections… it was tasty but on the pricier side. Not sure if I’ll come back again. Chinatown has better options
Tasty and authentic experience in NYC! I went with my Singaporean friend and she guided us with what to order so we could try a few different dishes. The prawn noodles were amazing and portions were generous. The beef murtabak was my favorite, with two sauces that were savory and addictive. The Poached chicken and rice was amazing and so flavorful but for $20, the portion should be bigger. Overpriced, but would recommend.
