Urban Farmer Denver

Went here for Valentine’s Day as neither of us had been before and wanted to try somewhere new. We were welcomed in and seated immediately by one of the managers who told us about their special dinner options for the evening and that they also had some cocktail specials that we could ask our server about. Our server, Nicholas, came over and poured our water. I asked about the drink specials and he said they didn’t have any except for Moet Rose. I was disappointed and surprised as the manager made it sound like there were multiple options. We ordered our cocktails and 2 Caesar salads. Nicholas asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. We did but hadn’t planned on ordering yet as we wanted to enjoy our cocktail and salad first. Feeling rushed, we went ahead and ordered our filets. We were served our salads and weren’t even halfway finished when our filets came out of the kitchen. The server saw we were still eating our salads and returned to the kitchen. About 6 minutes later when we were almost finished with our salads the main meal was served. Nicholas explained the special preparations made in the Brussels sprouts and the twice baked potato tart. The filet was so cold that the pad of truffle butter on top did not even melt. The Brussels sprouts were not especially hot either. We felt completely rushed and uncared for since most of our main meal was served at room temperature at best, if not cold. That being said, the food was delicious. The Caesar salad had a perfect amount of dressing and the croutons were light and crunchy. The blue cornbread served out of a mason jar with fresh butter was the best cornbread I’ve ever eaten. The filets were absolutely the most tender cut of meat in the Denver metro area. The Brussels weren’t my favorite- nice enough flavor but I do like a little crunch and that was not present in this dish. The twice baked potato tart was very good. As we were paying our bill I overheard a female server a table over explaining the several cocktail specials they had to offer such as a delicious tiramisu martini. So apparently they did have special cocktails to offer and we just had the unfortunate experience of having a server that was more interested in turning tables than providing his guests with all of the options available for an elevated experience. Overall, we most likely will not return due to the service. There are so many nice restaurants to choose from when making a dining selection and when you’re paying over $300 for your meal, service is just as important as the meal itself.

Whoever cooked the steaks needs improvement. The steaks we had were not medium rare and grey in the middle. I was here in December and the steaks were amazing. Idk if it’s an off day or what but I won’t be back. Inconsistency will ruin this place.

Mice. Food was great, server was great. Right before we got our check a mouse ran up my husband’s leg. The manager casually apologized and walked off like it was nothing.

Phenomenal food and friendly staff. Service was a bit slow

The Urban Farmer experience is one of a kind. The food fantastic. The team- so helpful, knowledgeable and kind! We had Justin as our server and he did an amazing job. The entire team worked together, and all equally as lovely! I will certainly be back!

Food was so incredible, and the drinks were amazing too. Samantha the bartender was so helpful in her recommendations and so nice. It was absolutely a 10/10

Food was delicious but extremely expensive

Amazing food, friendly staff worth any wait. My Husband and I went there tonight 1/27/24 for our 5 year anniversary. This was supposed to be where we had our reception but due to scheduling issues with our families we ended up scrapping our plans, but for the last 5 years we have been promising ourselves that this would be where we went for our 5 year anniversary and we did. Riggs was our server and he was incredible, friendly, kind and attentive. The highlights were the beef tartare it was a first for us to have and worth every bit! The squash side dish was also incredible and so was the seasonal mixed berry cobbler (everything was amazing but those were the highlights!) I can’t say enough about this place it was so good! And worth the 5 year wait we imposed on ourselves to try! We will be back.
