Food is always top notch and is a place I take clients to often. The goat cheese andouille sausage/caramelized onion bruschetta is a top 5 appetizer, and worth every penny. Great food, great service, and great location.

Took my Mom here to spend some time at one of Bloomingtons best. We were not disappointed in the slightest! Yul was amazing and helped us in the right direction on every course. We will definitely be back, and make sure to ask for Yul when you dine next!

Uptown Cafe in Bloomington, Indiana, is a delightful dining spot that excels in several key areas. First and foremost, their service is exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and attentiveness, making you feel right at home. Uptown Cafe offers a memorable dining experience with its excellent service. Our meal of crispy shrimp and Calamari, delectable crab cake, perfectly cooked steak served with a true sharp steak knife, excellent spiced curry and flavorful Cajun meatloaf pleased everyone's tastes. The sides were not an afterthought but were well done with a standout of the crispy red onion rings. Dietary restrictions: They accomodated dairy free request.

We popped in for brunch before the eclipse and we're blown away by the friendly service and delicious food. My husband's salmon Benedict had huge, thick pieces of salmon. My creme brulee French toast had delightful almond and caramel notes. My son's Belgian waffle was fluffy and perfect. The waitress preemptively asked about food allergies, so we were able to avoid getting strawberries on the waffle. What really amazes me was how attentive the servers were. I dropped my knife and two seconds later, a waiter who had been passing by and heard it fall dropped off a new one. Later, I spilled some water and the same waiter was miraculously there with extra napkins. He must be psychic or something, but it was Michelin star-level attention. Overall, it was a great meal and I would definitely go back.

Never been disappointed with the Uptown!

First visit to Bloomington. This place was great. All the food was magnificent. The staff was great. Casual environment for a breakfast with family before heading home. Would definitely recommend and will be back on next visit.
