I LOVE this Union Restaurant. The lighting is so beautiful and the food… oh it’s SO good. The waitresses are nice and I love the spaghetti, the bread and butter. And don’t forget the pickles that come with the bread and butter!!! You MUST go to Union Restaurant and bring whoever you want. I’ll admit, I wasn’t so enthusiastic about it when I first walked in the door, but I was proven wrong!
Loved it! Sat in their outdoor patio. Food and service was amazing. Beet Salad & bread for appetizers. Carbonara, Torchetti, Spaghetti, and Squid Ink pasta were all great.
Best food in LA! It’s delicious, innovative, and good for the soul
Everything was sublime! A must go and try!!
I liked the breyyyd (bread) And the torchetti
Union left us thoroughly disappointed. The unwarranted pressure from the waitress to order more left a bad taste from the start. Our choices were dismissed as inadequate, an unnecessary intrusion on our dining experience. The bread, priced at $15 for a mere four small slices, was a stark example of overpricing. Such a cost for such a paltry portion felt unjustifiable. The main courses further compounded our dissatisfaction. The spaghetti was not only overly spicy but also lacked any appetizing appeal. The pistachio pasta suffered from an overpowering lemon flavor, drowning out any nuance. The eggplant pasta was a major letdown – dry, hard, and lacking seasoning, with the eggplant being both overcooked and underwhelming. To add insult to injury, the exorbitant charge of $6 for a cup of black tea was nothing short of a highway robbery in the realm of dining expenses. The service, characterized by slowness and an overall lack of warmth, failed to redeem the experience. Our server neglected to check on us, leaving us feeling neglected throughout the meal. Moreover, the seating arrangement was baffling. Despite numerous available tables, we were inexplicably seated right by the freezing entrance. This lack of consideration for customer comfort only intensified our disappointment. In summary, Union's combination of pushy service, overpriced and underwhelming food, along with indifferent service, made for an utterly unsatisfactory dining experience. Even at a lower price point, the mediocre quality would be questionable, but the high prices at Union make it downright unacceptable. This was a regrettable dining experience that we won't be repeating.
Very congested though the atmosphere is cosy. Service was very good, but food quality a bit disappointed
