Unión Mesa

I absolutely love The Union Mesa. Their chips are fresh, warm and crispy. Their salsa is devine with just enough spicy heat without burning your mouth. The guacamole is wonderful. Even the small order is very generous. Everything I’ve eaten there has been delicious and the prices are amazing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. A friend of mine is allergic to garlic. They went out of their way to prepare her some delicious dishes without garlic. It worked. She did not have a reaction. I highly recommend Union Mesa. Wheelchair accessibility: I use a rented scooter while at WinStar. I have never had a problem getting around in Union Mesa.

The food is supposedly, “fresh made, every day” yet, most of it tasted as though it was “freshly opened, from a can”. The salsa tasted as though it was a can of tomato sauce with some onion and maybe a sprig of cilantro tossed in. The chili con carne sauce reminded me of a can of Sloppy Joe’s or Manwich sauce with some cumin. The chimichanga was mostly tortilla.

Food was great and the atmosphere was even better. We were attended by Sierra, which let me tell you, outstanding service. Very attentive, great smile, excellent attitude, just one of a kind. Thank you ma’am for making our experience dining in at the casino a great one. If 10 stars would be the max I’d give her 20.

Overall, a nice time. Started off rough when waiting for a server to take our drink order. Almost walked out. Prices on menu are not the same as the bill. That was upsetting.

The food was delicious and it was hot and plenty. The service was excellent and everything tasted great. We are from south Texas and know Mexican food. Great place and will definitely be back.

Stopped in here with girlfriends before our concert. We were about to be seated right away, which was not an option at other restaurants, so that was good. We each ordered a drink and those were all good. I had the sangria swirl margarita and it was good. We ordered queso with ground beef and it was really average. It didn't have a strong cheesy flavor you want from a queso. Their chips and salsa were very good. Our entrees were ok, but nothing spectacular, nothing I would want to return to eat. Between us we had the quesadilla salad, flautas, and quesadillas. Next time I go to Winstar I will eat somewhere else.

I don’t see the hype about this place. Food was bland at best. Served luke warm, the plate was hotter than the actual food. I ordered the burrito and two sides. The queso on top of the burrito was not very warm and the burrito was barely stuffed with any meat.I did not receive one of the sides and the potatoes were not cooked enough at all. The chicken enchilada was also bland at best. chicken was stringy and the plate was also warmer than the actual food. I would recommend going to taco casa instead of this place any day of the week. This is an overpriced cardboard food factory also with overpriced drinks. And yes I understand that it is in a casino and it will be a bit pricey overall. Only thing good about this place is the vibe. If you want Mexican at Winstar head on down to taco casa! Happy eating!!

Food was excellent, tacos very good. Chips and salsa also good, could have used a bit more heat. If you get stuck in a corner you might get forgotten about.
