Great food! I had the salmon burger, which featured a salmon filet that was prepared better than some I've had served to me as steaks in other restaurants. The buttery bun and fresh veggies made it just right. Very casual, sturdy decor and lots of natural light make the dining area relaxing and cheerful. They have a small parking lot, and we were able to get a spot for dinner.
We’ve given this place a dozen tries because it has potential and I always hope they’ll fix their problems but it’s remained the same, no improvement. I like my burgers medium rare, but that’s irrelevant here. We’ve tried ordering the whole doneness spectrum and the burgers always come rare bordering on downright uncooked (slight brown edge, with fully pink/bloody interior). Grumpy employees that act like the place is god’s gift to burger lovers and you’re lucky to be there. Crammed-in seating where you’re sharing a picnic table with other people and if you have kids or if they have kids it will be annoying. They have a great location and that’s about it. The burger options on the menu are intriguing but they’re just rushing the grill. The cooks and staff are really phoning it in. I could forgive the dickish service and crushing seating if I got *one* not-bloody burger out of our dozen visits, but I never did. Kid-friendliness: The seating is crammed full and the atmosphere is decidedly kid-unfriendly, although that’s perhaps more a reflection on the people that come here rather than this business. They only have some much space to work with.
Delicious burgers and shakes!
Elk burger was really good, classic is okay, the meat is kinda pinky and center was kinda raw.
