Uncle Julio's Naperville

The skirt steak fajitas were the best I have ever had… and I have lived in Texas! The meat was tender and flavorful cooked to your specifications. The salsas are made from scratch and the “spicy” salsa is just that…not too hot. The tortillas are made in-house. I will be back when in the area.

Was really in the mood for Mexican and decided to try Uncle Julio's because it's a bigger restaurant and on a Saturday night in Naperville, every place is packed. There was a small wait but not bad. But as I was waiting to leave my name, I spied many seats at the bar so decided to grab one of those. Service at the bar by Rosa was excellent. Took our order right away and kept chips and salsa fresh. Great drinks and dinner arrived really quickly. The food was fantastic - definitely not what I'd expect from a chain! Great job Uncle Julio's!

Get the honey chipotle salmon. Guacamole is great. Queso is delicious. Maybe I'm just hungry, but this food was excellent. Definitely recommend for atmosphere, service, and food.

Not certain why my husband and I keep forgetting about Uncle Julio’s, but decided to drop by after church Sunday and grab some lunch. Pretty early in the day, so wasn’t crowded, we were seated right away, and our server, Leah, was superb! She was welcoming with her beautiful smile, very attentive to our needs, we didn’t feel rushed to order but allowed time to preview the menu and she explained to us some of the offerings we weren’t certain of and the preparation . I had the Baja fried fish tacos and my husband had the pulled chicken tacos. Portions were great sizes; I couldn’t finish mine, so had a carry out, my husband finished his and ordered an additional takeout for later to be enjoyed while watching the football playoffs. Thanks Leah, we’ll definitely return!!!

Love their food! Guadalajara and homemade tortillas are the best!
