My son and I love coming here. He is addicted to their foccacia bread. The staff is great as is the food. I highly recommend the Caesar salad and the stuffed rigatoni.
It was Packed!! Reservations a must. Great food as service considering how busy they were. The tomatoe spread for the bread was fantastic. Plenty of seafood in my Fra Diavolo.
The food is incredible and the staff is very attentive. This is one of my favorite restaurants Hands down.
This food was phenomenal. The penne vodka was to die for. No regrets. 10/10 !
Food and service was excellent. You had to use a shoehorn to get to your seat/table. A bit claustrophobic.! I definitely return though the food was that good
Wonderful service, great food at a wonderful price. Loved our waiters Harman and Joseph! Today, Melly took care of us! So Lovely!
Great spot for Italian. They will send you off at the end of your dinner with some cotton candy. Just be careful of entering the parking lot. Large curb may cause low vehicles to bottom out. Parking: See my above post.........large curb
Went to this so called "Italian" restaurant with my family for Christmas dinner. It was one of the worst meals we've ever had. We are genuine Italians, we'll be vacationing there this July, and we enjoy dining out frequently. We've found a number of Italian restaurants in Nassau County and in Queens that we love. Uncle Baccala's is not one of them. We were so disappointed with the food. I ordered a pasta dish with cheese on it and the cheese was cut up into hard chunks. Who would want to eat this? So unappealing. When I spoke up, the waitstaff was not helpful at all. In any other respectable Italian restaurant they would have offered to exchange my dish without giving me attitiude. My wife found her eggplant parmigiana, a very common Italian dish, surprisingly disappointing. Niether of my two children were impressed with their dishes. How could this place call themselves "Italian" when they obviously don't know the first thing about preparing Italian food?
