Umami Asian Fusion

Ordered a dinner, didn't receive the soup or salad it comes with in the description. Ordered mochi ice creams and it was super grainy and covered in chocolate sauce and melted whipped cream?? The teriyaki beef was cold, completely watered down, and tasted like a cup of sugar was just dumped in it. Will not order from here again

Absolutely best Asian restaurant in Nashville!!! We love their Korean fried wings, sushi, bulgogi, ramen, curry… I could go on! It’s so delicious and the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. It’s become a very regular spot for my husband and me!

I used to recommend this place as the best Korean Fried Chicken in Nashville and now I highly doubt I'd return with the inconsistencies of the food. It was great when the food was dine-in. However, in the few times I've ordered to-go, the quality has slowly declined with each visit. Most recently, there was hardly any sauce (it used to be drenched in sauce), the chicken itself was dry and incredibly tough likely a day old, the breading was paper thin so there wasn't even much of a crunch to it. Some of it was completely inedible. Being that it was to-go, I didn't have the time to take it all the way back to the restaurant. This was the worst experience I've had with Korean Fried Chicken from Umami and I could not have been more disappointed.

Most of our dishes tasted fishy and only one MIGHT have had fish sauce in it. When we walked in the door we weren't met by anyone welcoming us in nor telling us what to do. Person who finally created us was behind the bar and never smiled once. If I didn't have over ten years of restaurant experience myself, and in management I might add, I might not know any better. But, I do and I know how important relations are between guests when you first walk in the door.
