Incredible place. Anna is so cute and nice. Food is absolutely delicious and authentic, as well as coming in good time. The decorations are so traditional and make you feel like you’re at your lovely Ukrainian Grandmas . Definitely recommend.
Great food, perfect service
This place warms my heart. If I’m 1% as cool as Anna when I’m 90 I’ll be thrilled. Watched her make pierogi from scratch. Decor is a trip, food is amazing and overall unforgettable! Grab your Canadian cash and plop yourself down in a pink booth, after you order from the window and grab your own beverage from the fridge.
The most adorable authentic Ukrainian restaurant I’ve ever been to! Anna was very polite and made the best perogies I’ve ever had! The chicken soup had a little kick to it but I looved it! Was my first time there and definitely won’t be my last.
This place is a gem if you’re in the mood for authentic Ukrainian food. It looks like the restaurant decor hasn’t changed since 1929. Anna the owner is 90 years young and the sweetest lady who works hard to prepare everything from scratch. It’s a great experience. Delicious simple borscht and cabbage soup. The cabbage rolls and perogies are excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Call ahead if you’re taking out or if you want her to bake you a torte. Parking: This is the front of a house in residential area so parking may be difficult.
Literally the only true "mom & pop" (actually no pop, unless you don't Coke, Pepsi, etc ) restaurant that I know of in the Windsor area. Own & operated by one lovely elderly Ukrainian lady. Hidden gem in Windsor that you must go and eat inside at least once to call yourself a true Windsorite.
Food is great and the price is cheap, everything is handmade by owner. perogies were so soft and very flavorful, the borscht soup I would highly recommend aswell. Cabbage rolls delicious, fresh, will 100% go back I would also recommend sitting in to eat, the walls are filled with articles and history of the restaurant, take time to talk to the owner a sweet lady who works her butt off, had taken over the business 30+ years ago and has some great stories.
Considering this is one of the oldest restaurants in Windsor it has such an amazing atmosphere, food and customer service. Anna is such a great cook, and great person to chat with. Everytime I am here, it reminds me of my grandparents place. There is free parking on street. Kid-friendliness: Been here with my kids many times. The kids love the food!
