Update; The cake artist is fantastic! Aria can make you a minty behemoth of a cake with Oreo catastrophe! She was super professional and explained the process and the prices. Everything was like a piece of art. I am excited to buy a cake for my next event. Thanks Aria! Lots of great flavors. My rocky road was kind of basic. Next time I will ask them to make it with fresh ingredients separately. They have clean restrooms and seating outside. Milkshakes and splits and take home cartons galore. Really good waffle cones too. And they do some work with the community obviously because it's Alameda so thats nice too. A great place for ice cream. Enjoy
Post pandemic, the quality of the ice cream has fallen significantly and the prices have gone up by a fair bit as well. For example, the heath bar crunch contains a lot less heath bar and the ice cream is no longer rich, smooth, and creamy. Instead, it's course and tastes like cheap ice cream I would get from the grocery store. I truly hope they can turn this around before people realize they can get something better elsewhere.
Best ice cream in the East Bay! Delicious. Especially the February only flavour. I wish it were available year round.
They deserve 0 stars. I ordered a cake. They failed to make it. They didn't apologize, they offered a free cake to compensate for the error, but Hailey the Manager said she didn't want to give it to me because I was upset. I was upset because a 4 year was counting on a special cake that was specifically decorated. Most celebrations revolve around cake. On a Sunday there was no other option. The manager had terrible customer service, no wonder the staff have an equally terrible standard of service. I submitted an online order a week ahead, no response, I called the recording said use the online form - 3 days passed no response. I drive over, it's crazy to find parking, then spend 20 minutes outlining the special order. I left and will never return! History I've lived in Alameda 25 years. Tuckers used to be a treat for our kids. Nowadays you go in there the first thing you are hit with is the overwhelming stink of sour milk. Then you watch as all staff do not wear hair nets and their hair is loose, then they cough, touch their faces multiple times or scratch their backs under their shirts right before they scoop the ice cream. Gross!
