Tubby's Seafood River Street

The food was good my only complaint was the crab soup. The flavor was very tasty but it was so thick I felt like I was eating mashed potatoes. It really needed to be thinned a little. We loved the fried pickles and the french fries. The chicken and shrimp basket was tasty!

I can't believe they are closing, such a shame .. We will miss our only sure good meal on river street not the "tourist" trap typical of the area.

I visited Savannah and was told to visit this place as it's closing at the end of December. Sat on the deck, great view. Had the blue crab dip and fried shrimp platter. Everything was great! Whatever you do, you have to get the spicy garlic butter for dipping. They need to bottle that stuff and sell it. Oh, and the service was great as well. Too bad this place is closing.

You don't get enough food for how much you pay. My friend got the shrimp basket and a side of hush puppies which meant she got 5 hush puppies and I got the plate which included 2 hush puppies. Her bill ended up being lower than mine because apparently the amount of shrimp is the same but the "amount of sides you get is the difference" which is just a side of coleslaw. Taste was decent but definitely not somewhere worth spending money just for a view.

Great view. The place was hopping. It's worth paying extra for the parmeson grits. Parking: No parking available for many blocks in this area.

Had my go-to fish finger basket for dinner. Found out from our server that that they were closing December 31st. Hotel was not renewing their lease. So disappointing to hear. Wheelchair accessibility: Have to use hotel elevator to get to restaurant.

We always stop by and grab a bite anytime we're on River Street. Saddened to hear the news and they will surely be missed !
