True Food Kitchen

Extremely bad acoustics, the noise from other tables gets amplified to the extent it’s hard to hear the talk at your own table. In regard to food, I ordered a salmon dish, where the salmon was just moderately warm, the rice was pretty good, and the Brussels sprouts were ice cold!

Went there tonight with colleagues from out of town. We come here regularly. Tonight was very disappointing : the drink order took over 30 minutes to arrive, only to be mixed up and incomplete. I ordered the OG Burger with kale - it arrived cold, and with the potatoes instead of kale. the potatoes were easily several hours old and just barely reheated. This seems to be a common thread in recent reviews, something is seriously off with the kitchen management. It’s a bummer, because this didn’t use to be the case. The staff is nice, but that can’t make up for the subpar food experience.

The food is top tier with options for everyone including meat eaters, vegetarians and plant-based diets. It's a large space so even on a Saturday night, you'll get in. The portions are adequate and filling... and pricey, but most restaurants are these days. Overall, it's a top choice for high quality casual dining.

Really good food that is great for people with dietary restrictions. Vegetarian options: Veg options are great and make up half the menu. Parking: It's old town. Don't park, walk. Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids menu options

True food staff messed most of the orders and food was cold and it tasted way worse than a year ago when we dined there. The vegan burger and 2 salmon dishes came barely warm, the staff didn’t know which salmon was well done. We were here with 2 small kids so we had no time to wait for the food to be reheated/redone. I ordered another margarita that never came, they also brought the wrong cauliflower appetizer. Tortilla chips tasted like they were made last winter. I have no clue what happened yesterday, we were so disappointed. Honestly we go there so rarely because every time they mess up something and the disorganization makes it not want to go back. Probably not even in a year…

Inventive and super-delicious food, served by capable and super-thoughtful servers. Edamame guacamole, seasonal salad, ancient grains bowl with a luscious set of dressings: perfection! When we asked to sit outside away from the sun, the staff moved our table and supplied extra umbrellas— which they proceeded to adjust as the sun moved. I’ve had less attentive service in Michelin-starred restaurants! Will be back soon.

First time visiting True Food Kitchen in Pasadena after hearing only great things about the restaurant. From the moment we sat down our server Bryan took great care of us. After hearing my preferences he recommended the grilled salmon which was cooked to perfection. Overall great atmosphere, service, and food!
