Really should be open later.
Fantastic brewpub - Superb choice of IPAs, wines, cocktails, and food. It is probably not a stretch to even call it vegetarian/vegan paradise. You should check out their soups and chilis (yes, they have veggie chili as well). The last time I had a good chili was back in Cincinnati in the mid-west ten years ago. Loved the vibes here too, they were open on Thanksgiving Day and had a few TVs playing NFL and NBA. They are located on the main road adjacent to UC Berkeley, and so there's plenty of street parking, both paid and free. A great place to unwind on a Saturday afternoon after doing a campus tour of UC Berkeley and Berkeley Downtown Area.
Overall ok, but not great
Great brewery and pub vibe. Lots of seating indoors and out.
Do not go to this bar. I figured out how to leave google reviews so I could review this bar. They close at 11, at 10:35 the bartender yells over the loudspeaker that it is last call in an annoyed voice. At 10:50 they again yell in an annoyed voice that they are closed (10 minutes before stated closing time). And 30 seconds later, a waiter walks up to us asking if we are looking for other bars in the area. Like you guys close in 10 minutes let me finish my beer! Anyways, avoid this place if you can.
I'm always surprised at how good the food is - and lots of great beer choices, of course. Currently they have a sandwich and beer special for $12 that two of us split. Watched the Cal game too. A lot to like here.
Girlfriend's dad recommended this place, and he wasn't wrong. Burger was pretty great and there was a good selection of solid beers to choose from.
