The food is bland, staff is nice, and it's pricey for the food not being good. It's a nice location in Carmel. Very nice bar area. I had way higher expectations since I have been to Sangiovese. Hopefully they can improve on the food.
Vegetarian options: Italian
great space and good service. However food was mediocre. the beef tartare app was way under seasoned . the charred caesar salad was loaded with dressing and not charred a bit. the main courses disappointed.. the short rib papardelle was extremely dry, and bland. zero sauce with pasta stuck together.. the spicy vodka sauce pasta was basically a marinara, was def not vodka sauce. overall disappointed with food, but service was good. i know it’s only been open a week, but hope food can improve and Tre can become a mainstay in Carmel downtown.
Overall experience was OK. Had higher hopes for an upscale Italian restaurant. The food was mediocre, however the decor is beautiful. I’d like to see Tre put more into their menu. The options were unfortunately pretty basic. Considering they just opened, I have high hopes that they can improve.
Overall, the new Italian restaurant in the art district offers a truly memorable dining experience that celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Italy while embracing the creative spirit of the surrounding neighborhood. Buon appetito!”
Chris has created a beautiful space for us all to dine and relax in our beautiful Carmel!! Beautiful bar, art work, lighting, food, nice attentive staff.
