Tov-Li Shawarma

Just purchased an impromptu dinner from Tov-Li Shawarma and was treated like royalty! Michael is an absolute PRINCE!!! I was greeted with smiles, all my newbie questions were answered with great detail and no judgement. The cook was pleasant and made fresh, delicious food. All my restrictions were honored and I felt like my patronage was genuinely appreciated. My family and I only come here once a season but I’ll be returning until I leave NY permanently. Bottom line: Great food. Excellent service. Vegetarian options: Tons of tasty, colorful vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: They accommodated My many dietary restrictions with no problem. Parking: Street parking right out front.

I’ve never given a bad review to anything & wasn’t going to until nearly six hours later of eating from here I’m having heart burn, nausea, burping and chills. I ordered a small chicken shawarma with rice, hummus & salad platter that cost $23. I didn’t mind the price because I was hungry & thankfully have the money but this is pricey for a plate of basically chicken and rice. I don’t exaggerate when I say the plate was full of oil. When I opened the plate the chicken was soaked in oil & the rice too. I’m so confused how something that looks good can literally have no flavor. The chicken, hummus & rice had NO FLAVOR. The salad was cucumbers & tomatoes which I like even without salt so that was the only thing I can say I enjoyed. I hadn’t taken lunch to work and went out to buy food at this place since it has good reviews but now here I am 12 AM about to go to the ER & call out of work. You don’t do that man you just don’t f*** do that. Your selling plates at a pricey price - maybe you don’t think $23 dollars is nothing but it is for others. Sell quality food! I’ve gone to many shawarma places and never had this experience. Oh & I noticed how you put the food on the lid side of the plate because that side is smaller…. I didn’t take a picture because well i didn’t expect this food to mess me up. For those wondering why didn’t you say this to them, I took the food to go. I’m writing this review because I don’t wish stomach aches on anyone, they’re the worst.

Oh my god I cannot believe this I ordered three sandwiches with Peter chicken The man filled it up with salad and he just put chicken on the top and they overpriced we call them back and they hang up the phone I will never recommend this place to anybody

I loved this place, food and service is great! Just a shame it’s been shut down. Anyone know why?
