My husband and I had the honor of hosting our wedding at Tortoise Supper Club, October 2023. The event was nothing short of magical. Under event planner Kelli's expert guidance, every detail was flawlessly executed, from table placement to food, Kelli is unmatched in creating a truly unique and unforgettable experience for her clients. Although every element of the evening exceeded our expectation, the standout was the delicious food guests cant stop talking about! We started the evening with a raw bar, sat down for a fantastic 3 course dinner, and finished with an assortment of desserts. We decided to bring in our own wedding cake, and Tortoise cut and served at no additional charge. Tortoise, was super flexible and made it easy for us to come in and set up before the events start time so we were able to incorporate many personal touches. Last but certainly not least was the fantasist 3 person band! With lively Jazz that got our guests on there feet, they even worked with my sister to play along as she sang our first dance song, it was so magical. We are endlessly grateful to the entire team for making our wedding day so special, and look forward to celebrating milestones to come with Tortoise.

Chimi was the best server! We loved hearing his explanations of all of the choices, it was so difficult! My favorite was the prime rib! Victor kept our table clean and watered the whole evening. It was so impressive that the owner was also there and greeted and sat our table! Will be back 5 star dining and service which I feel is hard to come by these days! Would have took pictures but we were excited to eat it!

First time dining here. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Feels like an old time Chicago restaurant. The service was exceptional, attentive and informative without being over bearing. The food itself had very generous portions and was quite tasty. The prime rib and meat loaf were both some of the best I have had. I had the Bibb salad and my wife had the Cesar. I was very happy with the whole experience. When it comes to where you choose to dine, I would choose to eat here again and again.

This is classic American restaurant experience with live jazz music. The food is decent and service is good. Overall a visit of you are want to experience authentic American experience.
