I want to kick this review off by saying the food is mostly good. The steak was kinda wet it was weird, but their pineapple fried rice is outstanding. However, they fail miserably when it comes to value, respect and good service. Lets start with the small and large coke. $4 and $7 I believe for the large. No free refills on a $7 Coke, thats just showing no respect. I have watched them tell pickup customers to stay outside when it was beyond cold and wet out and yell at them trying to pickup their food. I told a gentleman at the register once I was unhappy and going to write a review he said go ahead and laughed. Not professional. I have also been told more times than I can count that I’m not allowed to order pickup bc they’re too busy. It happened tonight. Again. They literally dont care about how customers feel in any regard. They are honestly weird and make me feel uncomfortable. Theres plenty of other places to eat in the city that aren’t rude or just so strange. We have standards and levels of respect in this city and this place just doesn’t meet that standard. Also, when you order an entree they give you a laughable sized side of rice when ordered to go. They they are cheap with white rice and fountain sodas. And charge a premium. SO disappointing they don’t connect with customers or understand how to run a business.
Dietary restrictions: Great for halal food
It's okay but the service is really nice. Expensive for what it is. I guess that's the Village?
I’ve already been here 2x this month and planning my next visit. The service here is wonderful— everyone is so friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was fun, and the portions and taste were AMAZING
I’m from NJ and I came by bus to NYC to spend a day for my birthday. I chose top Thai to eat at because it’s halal. Food was 5/5 but service wasn’t good. I set a reservation for 2:30 and showed up 10 minutes late at 2:40 because you know how transportation can be due to the subway in ny. Once I got there, I was told that they cannot stay true to my reservation because the kitchen would be closing from 3 PM to 4 PM (which they weren’t clear about & even if they were, why are u allowing reservations so close to 3??. With it being my birthday of course I was upset and they said they couldn’t do anything about it, except I would I would have to wait and come back. I think that they shouldn’t allow reservations so close to the time that their kitchen closes if they know that people will be upset. Also, they should be clear about their kitchen closing time. if I knew I would’ve been extra careful about being on time. However, the staff was really kind when I did come back. They did the birthday song celebration. My experience was great if it wasn’t for that mishap and I think it’s something that they should fix. It threw off my plans for the day. :(
Good and better and the best . The best Thai restaurant and hands down. I am craving for more and love their drinks.
