Kitchen and bar are separate from each other although they share the same building facility. They are not affiliated otherwise. There's an outside seating area which makes it nice to get out away from all the noise if you choose . Lots of TVs for sports bar atmosphere. Pool table in separate room next to back door parking area. Ordered medium rare burger which came way over cooked at well done even after i specifically specified. That was very disappointing. Burger was still great with quality bacon and fries were awesome. Price however at $17 I expected better attention to be paid to my food. It wasn't a $9 burger so obviously i expected better. Service however was good and servers friendly so another chance is in order. There's no happy hour so be prepared that there's no specials. Prices are a little on the high side but still within reason compared to many competitors. As far as bar goes they were very busy but yet still friendly. Overall a decent place to hang out. Parking: Every place around there has red curbs and no parking signs and it's a fairly congested neighborhood so if they're busy you may have to walk a ways. There's a tiny parking area in back and if they're slower parking will be more favorable. The regulars I met were friendly and welcoming which helps with the friendly atmosphere and ambience overall. Karaoke was supposed to start which I lingered around for but it got late before they even showed up and slowly started setting up so I left to another show. I may give them another shot in the future however and update this review. Stay tuned.
Great atmosphere, great people, just all around great vibes . First time visiting, but definitely won't be my last. Moved here from Atlanta, great to find a down home feel.
Please don't park in the bike lane in front of the bar, it's a hazard to cyclists and motorists (the bike lane isn't wide enough for a car). We call these in, and SJPD is upping enforcement. See below.
Love the atmosphere. Parking: Parking in the back of building.
